My Russian family living in Poltava before the Russian Revolution of 1917, I am passionate about the history of Poltava. On this forum, you can see many postcards (more than 80) of Poltava (and region) edited early 1900.
I have not succeeded in locating all buildings on these postcards (see comments with postcards); for examples, I don't know where were in Poltava city :
- Alexander Chapel,
- the Baths of Moscow,
- the filing of wine.
If anyone has any information, I am interested in any exchange of information and pictures taken before 1917 in Poltava.
I search a photo of the Poltava government prison (used before 1917) located at the intersection of the Kobeliakskaļa street and Poznenskiļ alley.
I also search a photo and the location of the Poltava's electric factory where my grandfather worked as a student in electrical engineering (student at the Peter the Great Polytechnic Institute in Saint Petersburg).
