I have found some information that there is an Airport in Poltava. Is it true? If yes, does airport work? Why there no flights to this airport?

Yes, Poltava has Airport, but it not used for passenger flights. Only for goverment etc.
But there is Museum of Airplanes on Airport, which can be interested to check.

It used to operate, but airport is not a bookstore, it needs a lot of money to operate - licenses etc. Without serious investments there is no possibility to change the situation even tough the infrastructure is still in relatively good conditions compared to other regional centers.
